  When you were fully in, did you believe that you would not die?

  i know that it must seem silly to ask, but my brother and his family think that the big a will arrive before they die.

  i tried to explain to my brother that everyone else who has ever lived in the past has died and only jesus has [physically] rose from the dead.. it is amazing that anyone could buy that line.

  what crazy cult culture that could make people believe such nonsense?!.

  Yes, I was a born in and like stephane it was drilled into me that I would never die and I totally believed it as it was fed to me from birth on.

  just a side note that i found interesting and sort of upsetting, the wt that the jw's will study on sunday the 18th of september has the words undeserved kindness mentioned 50 in just 19 paragraphs.

  really they need to beat it into their people that they are very worthless and do no deserve anything from god?

  so much so that they use the words over and over, don't they.. lits .

  I know Data-Dog, in one of the first paragraph's they even have the audacity to say that a lot of Bible translations use the word Grace yet they keep right on using undeserved kindness, it just makes my blood boil.

  Does it not dawn on the cart witnesses?

  i sat in town recently, right in the window of a nice wee pub.

  within minutes i realised that i had a perfect view of a jw cart and the two ridiculously dressed jw's (they have absolutely no individuality at all.

  what's more, they all look like they're going to a funeral).

  Island man that is what I was told that even though we were driving aimlessly the Angles were watching and they knew we were at least trying? It made no sense to me than and still doesn't. If there are Angles they would have thought we were crazy.

  When I pioneered it was the same thing, we lived in the country so it was all just driving and driving and driving, aimlessly, it just drove me crazy and yet everyone else loved it. I just could not understand it. We would pile into our Honda civic sometimes we would get seven in it, that in of itself was totally crazy, make a call in town and then drive 150 miles to a call, than turn around and drive 100 miles the other way and make a call, than go back 50 miles to another call and then go back 100 miles to where we were at the first call and than go back into town and make a call. We would spend sometimes 10 hours doing this and I would be lucky fortunate if I got out once during the day. There was no place to use the bathroom unless you were willing to pee behind some bushes, which I just cannot do no matter how much I have to pee, so I would be sitting in the car so uncomfortable having to pee so badly and than everyone would bring out their lunch and the smell of body sweat and food would make me so nauseous that there was no way I could eat, or else sometimes we would drive back into town so those who refused to use their cars and refused to give money for gas and thus had money would go out to eat and since all of our money went to car gas to drive around aimlessly I would just get coffee while I watched all of the other suck down their food and then pile back into our car and carry on the craziness.

  As I see it I would have loved cart witnessing over what I went through and maybe that's how they see it at least they are not wasting their money on car gas.

  Suicide the blood will reach heaven

  when i joined jws my mother said " you know they don't take blood and their suicide rate is much higher than general public.

  in last three years i have known three young brothers all dead at their own hands, a gun ,a rope , plastic bag over head.

  i knew these guys personally, it's one sad story after another.

  I know of at least 8 people who have taken their lives, I have been close to it myself over how I have seen the child molesters treated and I got into a very deep depression from it all.

  It is a very criminal religion as flipper says.

  i wanted to send an update that today my beautiful grandmother passed away - surrounded by friends and family.

  "Inactive" non Attenders, how much power do the JW's have over YOU ?

  i was thinking about this because of the constant reminders we get in posts that we inactive non attenders have to be careful what we say to jw's, and what we do that they may learn about etc, if we don't wish to be before a j.c. the power they have is limited by what we give them.

  now, i do not wish to be declared df'd of da'd, it would kill my old mum i think.. but i refuse to live my life looking over my shoulder, that, in my opinion, is giving them too much power.. i openly vote, i openly donate blood, i enjoy the odd cigar etc etc.. how much power do you allow them to have over you ?.

  Blondie please help me understand your question???????? Really having a very hard time grasping what you are talking about? Who's children or grandchildren? The pedophiles? The elder? What are you talking about.

  I guess every post I make now you come at me and either put me down or question me.

  So OK. One the pedophile says he has 8 kids. None of them live where we are so I do not know if he has them or not as I have not seen or spoken to them I can only say what he says.

  Two he is on the sex offender's list on the internet and the cop shop.

  Three. If you were talking about the elder he does not have kids so

  Four his grand-kids could not be molested as the a-fore mentioned that he does not have kids.

  Five as most of the the other posters have pointed out the elders protect their families and though they do not tell the congregation they do make sure that their kids are protected.

  But truly in all honestly Blondie I do not understand you question or why you are coming at me like this.
